"Archibaldass Holbroke"
...as told by Max Hitch PH2, USN, VX6, an all around good guy....we miss him..

Seems a young lad who was plenty street smart but lacking elocution and general pronunciation of the language was compelled by his folks to attend a special school on Saturday mornings until his speech should show some improvement. Upon attending he was informed that each class member pronounces their name at roll call in syllables and with which Henry Carter was instructed to provide an example.

Henry stood up and exclaimed " Yes Teacher " ( kinda nerd like ) " My name is Henry Carter "

H-E-N you got your Hen,

R-Y you got your ry, you got your Hen-ry,

C-A-R you got your CAR, you got your re Car, you got your Hen-ry Car,

T-E-R you got your ter, you got your Car-ter, you got your ry Car-ter,

you got your Hen-ry Car-ter, and thats my name, Henry Carter....

Well done 'Bravo Zulu' says the teacher, would you like to try that Archi?

"Sure" says Arch without hesitation:

My name is Archibaldass Holbroke:

A-R-C-H you got your Arch, I you got your Arch-i,

B-A-L-D you got your bald, you got your i-bald, you got your Arch-i-bald,

A-S-S you got your ass, you got your bald-ass, you got your i-bald-ass, you got your Arch-i-bald-ass,

H-O-L you got your Hol, you got your ass Hol, you got your bald-ass Hol, you got your i-bald-ass Hol,

B-R-O-K-E you got your broke, you got your Hol-broke, you got your ass Hol-broke, you got your bald-ass Hol-broke, you got your i-bald-ass Hol-broke, you got your Arch-i-bald-ass Hol-broke, and that's my name Archibaldass Holbroke...
