My favorite: Lester Moore was a Wells, Fargo Co. station agent for Naco, Arizona in the cowboy days of the 1880's. He's buried in the Boot Hill Cemetery in Tombstone, Arizona: Here lies Lester Moore Four slugs from a .44 No Les No More.

During my time on the ice we found a dead and frozen Skua in the road next to the loadshack. I called up NSF Environmental to ask what I should do with the dead bird. They told me to leave it. I told them it was dead in the middle of the road. They told me to move it off to the side of the road and they would come get it. I did. They didn't. I buried it under the snow next to the loadshack with a tombstone that was a takeoff on the above.

"Here lies the body of Lester Moore, Hit by a shuttle going 44, No Les, no more."

When the NSF guy came out two weeks later he didn't think it was amusing.
